A good CMS is the key to a successful website, and not necessarily an expensive one. Content management software for websites has never been in better shape as there are so many good quality CMS platforms to chose from. But what one to use? well, the three I would recommend would be Drupal, Joomla and WordPress. These three are as good as it gets and more importantly, they are all free of charge. Ad-ons and plug-ins are a plenty and there is just about every plug-in you can think of available from related posts, tag clouds, site maps and forums. If I had the choice out of the three I would personally go for WordPress platform. To me it ticks all of the right boxes, from ease of use to being an SEO friendly platform. If you are a newbie then I really wouldn’t recommend the Drupal platform as it is a little too complex for starters. Joomla is a happy medium and WordPress is the easiest to use.Alternative ideas. If you are a professional company that needs a professional website then I would suggest using a bespoke software company
